How much does PactRX cost?

Your medications cost the same as they do at your corner pharmacy — we bill your insurance directly. Delivery is always free, and there's no monthly subscription or signup fee. If something looks off on your insurance side, a real pharmacist walks through it with you.

Does PactRX take my insurance?

We work with most major commercial plans, Medicare Part D, and many Medicaid plans. During sign-up we run a quick coverage check for every medication you take, and we tell you what your copay will be before your first pack ships. If a plan doesn't work, we'll say so — no surprise bills.

Are there hidden fees or a monthly subscription?

No. No signup fee, no subscription, no delivery charge. You pay your copay the same way you would at your corner pharmacy. That's it.

What if my copay is higher than at my corner pharmacy?

If we spot a copay that's higher than what you've been paying, your pharmacist will reach out before we ship anything. Sometimes there's a manufacturer coupon, an alternative, or a plan adjustment that makes things right. You won't be surprised at the door.

How long does sign-up take?

About three minutes. You tell us your medications, your current pharmacy, and your prescribers. We handle every transfer after that — you don't call anyone.

What happens in my first month?

After you sign up, a pharmacist reviews your full medication list within a day or two. We contact your current pharmacy and your doctors, line up your first refill, and ship your first dose pack so it arrives before you run out. You don't have to coordinate anything — we do.

Every month, your pharmacist reviews your prescriptions, checks for interactions, and packs each dose into a labeled pouch — morning, noon, evening, bedtime. Your packs arrive at your door, sorted by the time you take them. You tear open the pouch, take the meds, done.

Most of our patients take five or more daily prescriptions, and we can handle as many as you're on. We can also include vitamins and over-the-counter items you want sorted alongside your prescriptions.

What about medications I only take as needed?

As-needed medications — inhalers, eye drops, creams, a pill you only take when something flares up — stay in their original bottles and ship alongside your packs. They're labeled so you know what they're for and when to use them.

A licensed pharmacist reviews your complete medication list every single month — including any new prescriptions, OTC items, and supplements you've told us about. If something looks risky, we call your doctor directly.

Can you include my vitamins and supplements?

Yes — vitamins, supplements, and over-the-counter items can ride alongside your prescriptions and be sorted into your dose packs. Just tell us what you need. Insurance generally doesn't cover OTC items, so our team will tell you the cost per item before we add anything to your order.

Do I have to switch doctors?

No. You keep every doctor you have today. We work with whoever writes your prescriptions — we're a pharmacy, not a medical practice.

What if my prescription changes mid-month?

Tell us — or let your doctor send the update straight to us. Your pharmacist adjusts your dose packs for the next ship, and if the change is urgent, we'll send an interim pack so you're never without what you need.

Yes. Your pharmacist reaches out to your prescribers whenever we have a question — a missing refill, a potential interaction, a dose that doesn't look right. You don't have to play messenger.

What do the dose packs look like?

Each pouch is about the size of a tea bag and holds all your medications for a single dose — say, your Monday-morning pills. The pouches are printed with your name, the date, the time of day, and a list of what's inside. You tear along the perforation and take whatever's in there.

How long is one shipment?

Your shipment covers up to 28 days of doses at a time. If your prescriptions change, we adjust the next one — we never lock you into something that doesn't match your current meds.

Can I take dose packs with me when I travel?

Yes — they're designed for it. The packs are small, lightweight, and each pouch is labeled, so TSA and hotel staff can see exactly what you're carrying. Many patients tell us dose packs were the easiest way they'd ever traveled with their medications.

When will my shipment arrive?

Your first shipment lands before you run out — we schedule backward from your need-by date. After that, shipments arrive on a predictable day every cycle, and we tell you the day before the courier drops it off.

What if a shipment doesn't arrive?

We track every shipment and your pharmacist notices before you do. If something's late, we'll reach out with options — a replacement pack overnighted, a short bridge supply called in to a nearby pharmacy, or whatever gets you covered. You're never stuck.

Can I ship to a different address?

Yes. You can set the address on your account to wherever you are — a home, a second home, a family member's place, a hotel for a long trip. Update it any time in the app or by telling us.

Can you ship to a PO Box or an apartment?

Yes to both. For apartments, just give us your unit or apartment number when we collect your address so it lands at your door. PO Boxes are fine too — those orders ship by USPS and can take a day or two longer than a street address, especially out to the West Coast.

Can I manage this for my parent?

Yes — a lot of our patients are set up this way. With their permission (HIPAA authorization), you see their dose packs, delivery schedule, and refill reminders, and you can talk with their pharmacist whenever you need to. You stay in the loop without having to chase anything down.

How does the caregiver dashboard work?

You get your own app view showing exactly what's been shipped, what's coming next, and any questions we're working through with the doctor. Notifications come to you, so if something changes you know about it the same day.

Can multiple family members help?

Yes. A parent can add a spouse, adult children, or other trusted family — each with their own log-in. We keep track of who has access, and we can adjust permissions any time.

In encrypted systems we operate, on servers inside the United States. Only licensed staff who need to see your information can access it, and every view is logged.

Are dose packs safe for people with dementia or memory loss?

For many patients, dose packs reduce confusion — one pouch per dose, clearly labeled, nothing to sort. If a patient has cognitive changes, we strongly recommend a caregiver stay in the loop so someone can confirm doses are taken. Your pharmacist will talk through what's right for your situation.

How do I sign in to my PactRX account?

Open the PactRX app or go to the patient portal on pactrx.com and enter your phone number. We text you a one-time code — tap it in and you're in. If you're helping a loved one, you sign in the same way with your own number.

Where can I get the PactRX app?

The PactRX app is available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store — search for "PactRX" and install. You can also do everything from the patient portal on pactrx.com if you'd rather use a browser.

How do I update my address, insurance, or card on file?

In the app: Profile → Account Info. Or tell your Care Guide — they'll handle it with you on the phone and confirm everything's right before the next shipment goes out.

We're licensed in a growing list of states and adding more every quarter. During sign-up we check your state against our license list — if we're not there yet, we'll keep your information on file and reach out the moment we can ship to you. Either way, we'd love to work with you.

Most of the time we'll text — it's quicker for both of us and you can answer when you have a moment. If something really needs a conversation we'll call. You can tell us your preferred time of day to be reached and we'll do our best to stick to it.
